About the Role

We are currently looking for a Die Prep Tool Assembler to perform mechanical assembly of dies used in presses and to ensure timely delivery of top-quality tooling.

 

Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate represents the company in a professional manner and demonstrates openness to accept change and innovative ideas while cooperating with others in a spirit of mutual respect and responsibility for the duties assigned to them.

  • Uses assembly procedures such as adjusting, trimming, and fitting parts with close tolerances
  • Working with parts or components that are difficult to handle
  • Daily use of numerous hand tools
  • Must be able to work from detailed blueprints, assembly sketches or other documents
  • Ability to make minor procedural decisions in fitting and adjusting parts (while following established guidelines)
  • Follow a build schedule and determine what needs to be done from that schedule
  • Use of Master Die Assembly charts and drawings for corresponding presses.
  • Perform measurements of dies using various measuring instruments
  • Use of good Communication and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work under self-direction in adherence with the production schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Adherence to 5S Principles
  • Continuous improvement of work and activities
  • Compliance with instructions and directions of manager/supervisor
  • Fulfilling thoroughly all tasks within the scope of defined qualifications and responsibilities
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information

 

Location & Commitments

  • Monday – Friday, Onsite Columbus OH
  • Permanent, Full Time, Second Shift 3:00 pm -11:15 pm (40 hour)
  • Overtime, Alternate shifts, and Weekends may be necessary for business needs.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Tool & Die experience helpful.
  • Forklift experience
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Familiarity with measuring devices, hand tools, power tools, and cranes
