About the Role

We are currently looking for a QMC CMM Technician responsible for collecting, measuring, and reporting dimensional results of raw, finished and in-process products in support of the QMS. Identifies non-conformances and ensures appropriate responses are taken per defined procedures.

  • Adherence to federal and local law regulations, internal policies and other applicable rules including ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 requirements.

  • Maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Collection of production representative samples per defined test frequencies.
  • Measurement of production representative samples using metrological equipment.
  • Reporting to production results of dimensional measurements.
  • Ensuring proper reaction per defined procedures when dimensional tolerances are exceeded.
  • Internal auditing (LPA, QMS, CAR related audits).
  • Assisting with problem solving activities.
  • Communication of quality activities to appropriate Hirschvogel staff.
  • Training of production staff in quality principles and methods.
  • Analysis of data using statistical control principles.
  • Creation of CMM programs for new and existing products and special projects.
  • Adherence to all directives of supervisor/manager both verbal and written.

 

Location & Commitments

  • Monday – Friday, Onsite Columbus OH
  • Permanent, Full Time, First Shift 7:00 am -3:15 pm (40 hour)
  • Overtime, Alternate shifts, and Weekends may be necessary for business needs.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 plus years job related experience (i.e., dimensional measurement experience)
  • Expertise in Mid-level metrology, mid-level quality principles, preventing and solving problems, mid-level understanding of SPC principles, and basic GD&T
