3.)    Position Objective:    The purpose of the position is to provide tools for production in HVI and to lead die shop to best in class forging tool manufacturing considering quality, quantity and on time delivery

4.)     Functions:

4.1)   General responsibilities

          4.2)   Specific responsibilities:

• Plans and schedules the production of tools and other related fixtures and gages
• Just in time production to maintain optimal stock level and adequate quality
• Manage the die prep area
• Coordinate Strategic direction of die shop based on guidance of Central Function and HVI Management

• Manage projects through the Die Shop simultaneous to other tasks
• Provide unambiguous and effective internal and external communication
• Perform make / buy decisions for new projects based on HVI Die Shop capacity and maintain capable supplier base
• Use SAP, MS Office, including Project, Visio, and Access to manage die shop projects, delegate tasks, and maintain documentation
• Ensure development and training of DS team members incl. creation of training materials
• Contribute to design reviews, troubleshooting, and other technical meetings as needed
• Provide Technical Project Management in HVI DS
• Present new technology options for tool manufacturing for evaluation

5.)      Job profile:

1. 1. Education:

Bachelors in Engineering or Business Degree or equivalent

5.2)     Experience:

5+ years in die shop area (automotive environment preferable)

5.3)     Technical knowledge/skills/trainings:

• Computer Skills (Microsoft Office applications and SAP)
• Project Management Skills
• Able to read and interpret component and assembly prints
• Knowledge of tool steels, coatings, and other technologies involved in the production of forming tools.
• Basic knowledge of forging operations
• Basic knowledge of machining operations
• Leadership skills

5.4)    Equipment/clothing used to perform the job:
