Heat Treat Operator

Location:  Columbus, US

The Hirschvogel Automotive Group is among the most successful manufacturers of forged steel and aluminum parts. More than 6,000 employees worldwide produce forged parts and components for the automotive industry and its system suppliers. At our plant in Columbus, Ohio/USA more than 300 employees manufacture automotive parts in large-series production by means of forging and machining.



Hirschvogel is seeking a full time Heat Treat Operator.

Schedule -PM 12 hour shifts Mon-Wed and Mon-Thurs


Specific responsibilities:

· Must be able to read temperature gauges and keep accurate quality logs
· Working with a computerized control panel to control temperature and setup new jobs
· Supplies equipment with raw material using forklift
· Responsible for cleaning up furnace area and always maintaining a safe work environment
· Work with maintenance on regular preventative maintenance plans
· Communicates issues to other staff regarding issues occurring during production


Education/training/certification: Education/training/certification:

· High School Diploma, basic knowledge of mechanical operations and basic communication skills
· Forklift certification
· Overhead crane certification
